Municipal Elections are held every four (4) years on the first Monday in November. The next scheduled Municipal Election is Monday, November 2, 2026.
Elections PEI is "contracted" to administers the Municipal Elections in Charlottetown, Cornwall, Stratford, Summerside and Three Rivers under the guidance of Municipal Affairs. For information on Municipal Elections regarding these five municipalities, please call Elections PEI at 1-888-234-8683.
All other Municipalities are directed to contact PEI Municipal Affairs.
Every municipality on Prince Edward Island holds a municipal election to elect a minimum of one Mayor and six Councillors and administered under the guidance of PEI Municipal Affairs.
