Now. Fill out the form on-line right now.

Who can apply for a Mail In Ballot?
Any eligible elector in District 19 Borden-Kinkora can apply to vote this way.

What is the deadline to apply for a Mail-In Ballot?
The Deadline to apply is Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 6 p.m.

If I apply, can I change my mind and go and vote at a poll location?
No. The mail In Ballot is the only way you can vote in this by-election

How are the ballots being delivered?
Elections PEI will send your ballot via Federal Express

What will it cost me to send the marked ballot back to Elections PEI?
$0, as in nothing, nada, zip! We’ll supply you with a return Federal Exoress envelope.

Is there a deadline for returning the ballot?
Yes, absolutely.  You have to have your ballot returned to Elections PEI no later than 12 p.m. (noon) on By-Election Day, Monday, February 5, 2024.

Can I pick up my ballot before I go away on vacation?
No. The ballots will not be ready for distribution until Tuesday January 23, 2024.  Due to legislation, all ballots must be mailed to applicants.  Ballots cannot be handed out at Elections PEI, because that would make the office of Elections PEI a Poll Location, and that is not allowed.

Will my vote be kept secret and secure?
Yes. When you mark your ballot, you’ll place it in and seal inside the “A” Secrecy Envelope and then sealed in a second envelope “B” the Certification envelope.   A full colour brochure is included in your package to explain this process.  Elections PEI will ensure your ballot makes it to the correct ballot box, and nobody will ever know how you voted, only you will.
