Polls for the Plebiscite on Mixed Member Proportional Representation System will be open for voting purposes for a total of 54 hours in each electoral district. Electors may vote at any polling station in their electoral district
There are three tools available to assist you in locating the proper polling station location:
In each of the 27 electoral districts advance polling locations will be established with voting times extending from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19 and Monday, November 21.
There are an additional four half days voting office of the district Returning Officer from 12 noon till 6:00 p.m. from Wednesday, November 23 until Saturday, November 26.
Advance polls are open for anyone to vote and electors are encouraged to vote at any of the advance polls or early on Plebiscite Day to help reduce potential waiting times for electors.
On Plebiscite Day, Monday, November 28 there will be two or three polling locations located in each electoral district with voting from 9:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.
Electors are reminded that it is an OFFENCE to vote more than once at the same election (Election Act - Section 129 (e) and 137) (Everyone who is guilty of an offence against this Act is liable on summary conviction to (a) a fine not exceeding $2,000; (b) imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or (c) to both fine and imprisonment.)
