The Municipal elections scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2009 will elect chairpersons and councillors to serve on municipal councils. The term of office will be for three years (2009 - 2012) and the next municipal elections will be held two years later, on Monday, November 5, 2014.
Next year, 2010, separate Municipal Elections will be held for the cities of Charlottetown, Summerside, Stratford and Cornwall on Monday, November 1, 2010.
