Out of Province Travellers

For some electors, the Election may be called during a time when you will be out of province. If you are unable to attend any of the advance voting days or Election Day polls, you may apply to Elections PEI for a Mail-in-Ballot package.

To receive a Mail-In-Ballot, you must fill out the application and have it returned to the Elections PEI office no later than 5:00 pm on the 13th day before Election Day. For the upcoming municipal election, the deadline to submit the application is  Tuesday October 23, 2018 at 5pm.

When your Mail-In-Ballot application has been accepted and a Mail-In-Ballot package has been mailed to you, it is the only method in which you may vote, regardless of whether you send back the completed ballot or not. You will not be permitted to vote in person at any voting station.

To be counted, your ballot must be returned to the Elections PEI office no later than noon on Election Day.
