Is there assistance at the polls for people who do not understand English or who have a hearing impairment?

Voters who are unable to understand the English language for any reason (including hearing impairment) are entitled to be accompanied by a friend who may interpret for the voter and accompany the voter into the voting station in order to assist the voter in marking the ballot paper.
