Election Advertising Restrictions
Elections PEI rents specific areas for its polling stations, such as school auditoriums, church halls or community centres, etc. which includes the grounds within 200 feet of the polling station.
The Election Act states that everyone is guilty of an offence, who, during the hours of polling on ordinary polling day, posts or displays in or within 200 feet of a polling station or the building in which a polling station is situated, any literature, emblem, ribbon, flag, banner, card, bill, poster or device that supports a candidate or registered party nearby.
